Dominated by statues of the great warrior pharaoh Ramses II, (1290 –1223 BC). Luxor Temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasion and thousands of years exposed to the elements. Luxor temple construction was strarted by Amenhotep III (1386 to 1349 BC), while other pharaohs like Tutankhamun, Hormohep and Alexander the great added to the Temple's construction.
